Boosts Popular City Food Event
A popular celebration of Norwich’s finest food and drink has been boosted by the support of a city legal firm.
The Moveable Feast, which sees hundreds of diners eat three courses at three different venues, sold out this year with 650 places booked before the event on Tuesday September 20th.
Norwich-based Cozens-Hardy LLP sponsored the Moveable Feast – part of the EDP Bidwells Norfolk Food Festival - for the first time this year.
Philippa Rudd, Marketing Principal at Cozens-Hardy, said: ‘The Moveable Feast is a real highlight of the Norfolk Food Festival and we’ve been delighted to lend our support to this terrific event.
‘Everyone at Cozens-Hardy loves living and working in this region and the firm has been fortunate enough to work with many generations of local farming families, individuals and firms. All our guests had a fantastic evening and hopefully we have raised some significant funds for Parkinson’s UK.’
Nick De’Ath, one of the organisers of the Moveable Feast, said: ‘As always, a fantastic night was had by all, with some feasters pre-booking tickets for next year! This is truly a unique way of dining out and has always been one of the highlights in the Food Festival calendar.’
This year, diners were able to enjoy the hospitality of 15 of Norwich’s finest restaurants, including: Mackintosh’s Canteen, St Giles House, Brasteds at Dragon Hall, Roger Hickman’s, St Benedicts, Figaro, Farmer Brown’s, The Library, Pinocchio’s, Wine Press@Wensum at the Maid’s Head Hotel, City College Catering School and The Dining Rooms at Cinema City.
The Moveable Feast raises money for Parkinson’s UK in memory of the event’s founder, leading restaurateur and former county councillor Lloyd Addison.
