	Where born & raised:	Hatched in the old Norfolk & Norwich Hospital; reared next to the River Yare in a small "plaice" outside Norwich

	First job:	First School Holiday job - pulling fat hen out of sugar beet fields. First job after University - 12 hour night shifts in a Bakery to earn money to go to Law College with the added bonus of free breadcrumbs for groundbait.

	Hobbies:	I have not had Hobbies so much as passions: ~ Until 30, dedicated to fishing and rowing/sculling ~ Then fishing, indoor rowing, sailing and Table Tennis ~ Now fishing, cycling, indoor rowing and watching Speedway.
	Favourite Food:	Salmon
	Favourite Drink:	Adnams Bitter & Woodforde's Wherry. Also the occasional Bass

	Favourite group/artist:	Present flavour of the month: Hard Fi and Muse. I like Dance Music as its great to exercise to and have soft spots for New Order, Joan Armatrading, Motown The Who & Chet Atkins. Contrary to popular belief, I am not that keen on: Walter Trout, Papa Roach, Julian Bream, Eels, Rudd Stewart, Cast, Marlin Dietrich, The Reel Thing, Dr. Hook, Chub-by Chekker, Skate Bush, Inspiral Carp-ets, Gladys Pike and the Pips etc.

	Favourite TV Programme:	Currently Supernatural. (Unfortunately I missed Bleak House)

	Favourite Film:	Casablanca (not "Dace" of Thunder)

	Favourite Book:	The works of Jane Austen and Dashiell Hammett. Also Mr. Crabtree goes Fishing (quite possibly the second most famous Fishing book after The Compleat Angler)

	Last holiday :	Costa del Blofield near Norwich with fishing expeditions to deepest South Norfolk

	Likes :	The feeling after (but not during) hard exercise, Tench Fishing early morning on the 16 th June with the mist rising, cycling 8 miles each way to and from work, being with my wife watching Jason Crump win, getting references to fish and fishing in answers to silly surveys

	Dislikes :	Politics, Nationalism, the Football World Cup and European Football Championships, other World Cups and catching bootlace eels

	Professional ambition:	To build up the best Private Client Department in Norfolk and retire before I fall off my perch

	Personal ambition :	Where to start? Make sure my kids are well settled in life, "pick up my Guitar and play" again (I largely stopped a couple of years ago when a friend died), get my weight down to lightweight and win my age category at the UK Indoor Rowing Championships, cycle 25 miles in an hour, catch a record fish, go on honeymoon with my wife (we didn't at the time!), write a book ...
