Since its beginning the firm has acted for a number of the larger local charities and can advise on the formation and running of a charity and the responsibilities of charity Trustees. There are special procedures to be followed where a charity buys or sells land and if a charity is left a bequest in a Will it may wish for advice on how best to maximise its tax-free status and to check that it receives its full entitlement.
