Probate & Estates
When a person dies his or her Personal Representatives (usually the Executors named in the Will) have to administer the person's estate, to ensure all debts and liabilities (including any Inheritance Tax) are settled and the remaining assets distributed to the right persons.
Acting as a Personal Representative or Executor can be an onerous task particularly if Inheritance Tax has to be paid, the assets or affairs of the deceased were not straight-forward or there are possible conflicts of interest between beneficiaries.
We are experienced in dealing with the administration of estates and can guide Executors and Personal Representatives through the process.
