Nicola specialises in Family Court proceedings, representing children, parents and other family members in both public and private law cases in respect of social services applications, sexual abuse, domestic violence, drug and alcohol issues, learning disability, intractable contact disputes, adoption, special guardianship and residence matters.

Legal Aid policy lead for the Association of Lawyers for Children for 7 years - responsible for drafting and presenting responses to consultations pre and post LASPO and working with other representative bodies, the LAA, MOJ, Law Society and Bar Council, and Third Sector Organisations across civil Legal Aid.
This included submitting and presenting evidence to the Justice Select Committees of the House of Lords and Commons.
Law Society Council member for Legal Aid.
