Average Costs - Residential Conveyancing

We deal with the conveyancing of residential property, which means:

  • The sale and purchase of houses and flats; and
  • mortgages or re-mortgages of houses and flats.

In most cases our fees range from £800 + VAT and expenses to £1950 + VAT and expenses, and the average is around £995 plus VAT. Please note that this range of fees and average do not include properties priced at over £1M. Please contact us for details of our costs in these circumstances.

In addition to the fee for our work there will be other costs and expenses payable. These need to be paid on your behalf as part of the conveyancing process. Examples include search fees, land registry fees, fees to obtain leasehold information packs, bank charges and Stamp Duty Land Tax or Land Transfer Tax (in Wales).

The fees we give on this page assume that the transaction is ‘standard’ and has no unpredictable issues that may unusually lengthen the process or increase costs and expenses during the course of the transaction. The precise cost to you will depend on a number of factors which we will discuss with you if you seek an estimation of fees.

We are proud of our very experienced team carrying out residential conveyancing. Their details and experience can be seen by clicking on the links below.
